Despite its joys, Christmastime and the Holidays can evoke feelings of hurt for some individuals experiencing difficult life situations. Losing a loved one, especially on Christmas and during the Holidays, being let go from a job or financial struggles in general, dealing with broken relationships, suffering from an illness or loneliness can cause depression during the holidays.
Realizing that Christmas and the Holiday Season is not always a joyful time for everyone, Carolina SeniorCare will be hosting a “Blue Christmas Service” for participants, staff, and the community on Thursday, December 20th, at 10:30 am. This will be a time to acknowledge the Christmas/Holiday season, while at the same time allowing guest to express their emotions, and feel comfort, in fellowshiping with others going through the same life situations during the Holiday season.
